Reception
The reception and cocktail hour will be held at Windows on Minnesota which is on the 50th floor of the IDS center in downtown Minneapolis. We'll be using the Planets room for the cocktail hour and the Stars room for dinner and dancing. Some of these photos are from their website, one I took myself from the room and the skyline is from google.
Centerpieces
I haven't taken any photos of my final centerpieces. I have all the components but I'm a little indecisive about the details. I have all the pillar candles, cylinder vases, and votive candles. My cylinder vases are two different sizes, 9" and 7.5", there will be one 9" and two 7.5" vases, and between three and four votives on each table. These are my inspirations on how to pull the look together.
Tables
I'll have center pieces similar to those shown above with navy blue table linens and ivory napkins.
"Guest Book"
Instead of having a traditional guest book, we're going to have a bottle for guests to leave their messages. This is the bottle I have, it doesn't have a bottom so I can get the messages easily. The green stuff is just packing material.
Cake
I'm ordering my cake from Lunds. They have very reasonable prices and very tasty cake (and I don't even like cake). We're doing a simple design like the one below.
Grooms Cake
I wanted to have a surprise for my fiance at the reception. Hes an AF pilot so I designed a cake with his plane and the runway system at his base. We're in Las Vegas so the cake will look a little desert-y. I made this drawing in Paint, so don't judge my artistic capabilities haha.
Cool Glasses
We're not having toasting flutes, but a friend of ours purchased Bride and Groom wine glasses so we're going to use those. :)
Table Numbers
We'll be using pictures of us from the last two years as our table numbers.
